In my research for this ad, I looked for reasons for why people chose to donate their blood in the first place. I noticed that the main reason was as simple as doing a good deed. I also noticed that the other advertisements for blood banks took a very serious approach, which makes sense given the context, but I believe that too much seriousness would scare people into neglecting the ad.

Blood Donor Advertisement
This poster was a personal project created for the Florida Blood Centers, a local blood bank. My objective for this project was to create an ad that promoted donating blood while appealing to a youthful culture. My intent was to accomplish this without scaring the target market away. I did this by trying to show the positive that came with donating blood. -
Design Lecture Poster
This poster was created for a fictitious guest lecture at my University. We the students, had to pick one of our favorite designers to be the supposed guest. The objective was to design a guest lecture event poster inspired by the style of that particular designer. I chose to design my poster after Scott Hansen, also known as ISO50 as a designer and Tycho as a musician. I chose to juxtapose the “school of fish” with the text to represent the students gathering to observe the guest lecturer. I found his style to be some what vintage, so I tried to show that in the color scheme and texture. I created this design in a vertical and horizontal layout. -
Conscious Design
This branding campaign is for a fictitious design studio that focuses on environmentally conscious design solutions specifically for companies that provide environmentally friendly products and or services.My initial research was to find a niche that was not common for a company. I found that not many companies, if any, design for specifically “green” companies. I also noted that keeping the design simple and involving core environmental elements, would best portray the company’s purpose.

Smartband
I designed this watch and the identity after getting inspired by the collaboration of Nike and Apple. Being a watch aficionado, I thought it would be nice to design a “Smartband”. In theory, the Smartband would be able to do things like controlling your iPod, monitor your heart rate, and the normal digital watch functions in a colorful touch screen display.My research was also directed towards companies like Nike and Apple because they have a large group of followers with the same or similar interests. I wanted to appeal to a large group of people, and also look modern. Aside from the logo and magazine advertisements, I also created a 30 second commercial for the Smartband chronometer.

Green Tees Golf Course
Green Tees is a fictitious golf course that is environmentally friendly. Theoretically, the golf course uses reclaimed water for irrigation, natural fertilizers, biodegradable tees, recycled golf balls, etc. For this project, I created the identity, business collateral, and package design for recycled golf balls.
